HOPKINTON, Mass., July 10, 2017 — Phosphorex, Inc., a privately held company focused on the development of drug delivery products and technologies, today announced it has named former Pfizer’s Senior Director of Novel Delivery Technologies, Julia Rashba-Step, Ph.D., to the newly created post of Vice President, Research & Development and Alliance Management.

In the role of the head of Novel Delivery Technologies group, Dr. Rashba-Step was responsible for developing the strategy and managing the drug delivery activities for Pfizer’s biologic drug products. Dr. Rashba played a leading role in designing and supporting the biotherapeutics development strategy and was a key driver for the life cycle management process.

Prior to joining Pfizer, Dr. Rashba-Step worked at Epic Therapeutics, a wholly owned subsidiary of Baxter Healthcare Corporation as a Director of Research and Development and later as an Alliance Management Director. In that role, she was responsible for managing all technical and business aspects of collaborations with partners.

Dr. Rashba-Step received her Ph.D. in Biophysics from Russian Academy of Sciences.

Dr. Rashba-Step is a member of multiple professional organizations including serving on the Advisory Board of Drug Delivery Partnerships and mentoring through Healthcare Business Woman Association (HBA).
