Is drug solubility a limiting factor? It doesn't have to be.
Insoluble drugs make up an overwhelming 40-50% of existing drug molecules and 90% of newly found molecules. This results in low bioavailability and difficult drug administration.
Nanocrystals have proven potential in a variety of applications. Nanosizing involves reducing the particle size of an active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) to the sub-micron range. The reduction of particle size causes a significant increase in the dissolution rate of the API, often resulting in significant increases in bioavailability.
We use milling, emulsification, precipitation, and proprietary methods to generate nanocrystals. Contact Us for more information.
